ABOUT ME


  • As an orchestral musician, William has performed with some of the UK’s leading ensembles, including the Royal Northern Sinfonia, the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, The Hallé Orchestra, City of London Sinfonia, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the BBC Concert Orchestra, and Welsh National Opera. Along the way, he has worked under distinguished conductors such as Thomas Adès, Pierre Boulez, Esa-Pekka Salonen, and Vladimir Ashkenazy.

    William’s solo career has taken him to some of Britain’s most celebrated concert venues, including Wigmore Hall, the Purcell Room, Bridgewater Hall, and Birmingham Symphony Hall. He also collaborates regularly with the Michèle Noiret Dance Company, bringing his musicianship into contemporary dance settings, William was a member of the award-winning Ducasse Trio, performing chamber repertoire for violin, clarinet, and piano.

 

FAQs

  • Lessons are £60 per hour. The minimum length of a lesson is one hour, longer lessons are available.

    You can purchase 10 lessons for £500 with no expiration date.

  • I teach children and adults, beginners to post grade 8 / Diploma. I can prepare students for music school auditions such as RAM & RCM and orchestral auctions such as NYO and NYWO.

    I am clarinet and sax teacher at the King’s School, Canterbury

  • I have spare clarinets and saxophones that I can bring to your trial lesson along with all the accessories that you will need.

    The trial lesson is free and will last 20 minutes.

    After the lesson I can direct you to musical hire services or help you buy a good quality instrument.

  • I teach in Balham, Streatham, Tooting, Brixton and the surrounding areas.

  • Yes, I have a valid DBS certificate to work with children and adults.

  • 24 hours notice is needed to cancel your music lesson. Anything after 24 hours will be charged as a standard lesson.

  • It’s entirely up to you.

    Most students have a weekly lesson and others opt for fortnightly.

  • I have been teaching for 25 years. I am a graduate of the Royal College of Music.

  • On weekdays I teach from 4pm - 8pm

    On weekends I teach from 10am - 8pm
